Ingredients
- 1 cup Unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup Brown sugar (packed)
- 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 each Large eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2.25 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Fine salt
- 2 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 0.5 tsp Optional: flaky sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and fine salt.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix just until no dry flour remains (don’t overmix).
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
- Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon mounds (about 30–35 g each) and place 2–3 inches apart on prepared sheets.
- Bake 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
- Optional: sprinkle lightly with flaky sea salt immediately after baking.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
