1. Acceptance of Terms

By using RecipeBook ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RecipeBook is a ChatGPT App that helps you collect, organize, and manage recipes. The Service uses AI to extract recipes from images, URLs, and text, calculate nutrition information, generate shopping lists, and more.

3. User Responsibilities

• You must use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws
• You are responsible for all content you submit, including recipes, images, and text
• You must not submit content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• You must not attempt to abuse, exploit, or circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions
• You must not use the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose

4. Subscription and Billing

• New users receive a 7-day free trial with access to all features
• After the trial, a paid subscription ($7/month) is required for premium features
• Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact support for assistance

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all recipes and content you create or import. RecipeBook does not claim ownership of your content. The Service, its code, design, and branding are the intellectual property of RecipeBook.

6. AI-Generated Content

RecipeBook uses AI (OpenAI GPT-4o) to extract and process recipes. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content (including nutritional estimates, ingredient parsing, and recipe formatting) may contain errors. Always verify important information, especially regarding allergies and dietary needs.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. RecipeBook is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to inaccurate recipe information, data loss, or service interruptions. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You may delete all your data at any time using the deleteMyData tool.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your data and canceling your subscription.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when these Terms were last revised.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
